The Ajax TV Game TG-621 — Budget Pong-Era Console

The Ajax TV Game TG-621 was a budget television game console from the late 1970s — one of the many Pong-derivative consoles produced during the first wave of home gaming. Using dedicated game chips such as the General Instrument AY-3-8500, these simple devices provided ball-and-paddle games on any television set at affordable prices. The Ajax brand was among the numerous European distributors who brought budget gaming devices to general retail channels, making electronic home entertainment accessible to families who could not afford the more expensive American systems like the Atari 2600.
