The Palm M100 — Entry-Level Palm OS

The Palm M100, released in 2000, was Palm’s entry-level PDA — designed to bring Palm OS to first-time PDA buyers at an accessible price point of $149. With its replaceable front panels available in different colours, the M100 targeted a younger, more style-conscious consumer than Palm’s traditional business audience. Running Palm OS 3.5 with 2 MB of memory, it offered the core Palm experience — Graffiti handwriting recognition, the essential PIM applications, and HotSync desktop synchronisation — in a more affordable and colourful package that helped Palm maintain its dominant market position against growing Windows CE competition.
