Collection Highlights — Rare and Notable Items
Among the 1134 machines, several stand out for their exceptional rarity or historical significance:
- Telmac TMC-600 & TMC-600AS — Finland’s only domestically designed BASIC home computers, fewer than 600 ever produced
- Telmac 1800 — Finland’s first computer kit (1977), platform for Chesmac — one of the world’s first commercial video games
- Bandai Pippin @World — Apple’s only game console, fewer than 100,000 sold worldwide
- Commodore 64 Game System — C64 without keyboard, rare commercial failure
- Commodore Amiga CD32 — Europe’s first 32-bit CD-ROM console, Commodore’s last hardware product before 1994 bankruptcy
- Milton Bradley Vectrex — the only home console ever to use vector graphics, with its own built-in monitor
- Nokia MikroMikko 1 — Finland’s first IBM-compatible computer, launched 48 days after the IBM PC itself
- Apple Lisa 2 — one of the first personal computers with a graphical user interface
- NeXT NeXTstation — the computer on which Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web
- IBM ThinkPad 701CS ”Butterfly” — folding keyboard design, in the permanent collection of MoMA New York
- GamePark GP32 & GP2X — pioneering open-source Linux handhelds from South Korea
- Bandai WonderSwan — the last console designed by Gunpei Yokoi, creator of the Game Boy
