Polycon PG-7 Games — Rare Nordic Console Games
The Polycon PG-7 was one of the budget game consoles sold in Nordic markets during the late 1970s and early 1980s — machines using simple dedicated game chips that provided basic gaming entertainment at accessible price points. Like other budget consoles of the era, the Polycon represented the entry-level gaming market before cartridge-based systems made programmable game libraries standard in home gaming.
Games for the Polycon and similar Nordic budget consoles are among the rarest items in Scandinavian gaming collecting. Produced in small quantities for regional markets and often sold through general retail rather than specialist electronics stores, these games are poorly documented even in specialist literature. Their preservation in the Computer Museum Ata collection represents an important contribution to the documentation of Nordic gaming history.
