Radofin 1392 Games — Hong Kong’s Console for Europe

The Radofin 1392 was a game console produced by Radofin Electronics of Hong Kong — the same company that produced the Mattel Aquarius home computer and various other consumer electronics products for Western markets in the early 1980s. Like many Hong Kong-manufactured consoles of the era, the Radofin 1392 was sold under multiple brand names across European markets, targeting the budget segment with a cartridge-based gaming system at prices below the major American brands.

Radofin cartridges are today genuinely rare collector’s items — the limited production quantities and regional distribution that characterised budget console publishing in the early 1980s means that surviving complete examples are difficult to find. Their documentation in this collection alongside better-known platforms provides important context for the full breadth of the home gaming market of the era.
