The HP iPAQ h6300 — Integrated Phone and PDA
The HP iPAQ h6300 was a convergence device combining a Windows Mobile PDA with integrated GSM/GPRS mobile phone capability — one of the early smartphones to run a full desktop-class mobile operating system. The h6300’s combination of phone, PDA, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth in a single device represented HP’s response to the growing demand for all-in-one mobile devices in the mid-2000s. This type of converged device directly anticipated the modern smartphone, though the h6300’s Windows Mobile interface was considerably more complex than the finger-friendly touch interfaces that Apple and Google would later pioneer.
