The PalmOne Tungsten T2, released in June 2003, was a refined successor to the original Tungsten T — improving the display brightness and Bluetooth implementation while maintaining the sliding form factor that extended the device for use and retracted it for carrying. Running Palm OS 5.2.1 on an Intel XScale PXA255 at 400 MHz with 32 MB of RAM, the T2 offered strong performance for demanding Palm OS applications alongside the high-resolution 320×320 display that distinguished the Tungsten series from lower-end Palm devices.
