The Siemens IC35 — German Engineering in a PDA

The Siemens IC35 was a personal organiser from Siemens — the German industrial and electronics conglomerate that briefly entered the consumer PDA market in the early 2000s. The IC35 combined address book, calendar, and to-do functions with a built-in phone number dialler and PC synchronisation, targeting German business users who preferred a domestic brand for their personal information management. Siemens’s reputation for German engineering quality gave the IC35 credibility in the corporate market, though the company’s consumer electronics division was eventually sold to BenQ in 2005.
