The Nintendo Game & Watch Manhole — The Original Gold Series
The Nintendo Game & Watch Manhole was originally released in January 1981 as part of the Gold Series — the second series of Game & Watch models, featuring a gold-coloured casing. In Manhole, the player controls a worker who must cover open manholes before pedestrians fall in, moving quickly between multiple manholes as pedestrians approach. Manhole was later re-released in 1990 as a New Wide Screen model, making it one of the few Game & Watch titles to receive an official remake. The original 1981 Gold Series Manhole is today considerably rarer than the 1990 re-release and is a prized piece for serious Game & Watch collectors.
