The QuickShot Supervision — Rebranded Watara Handheld
The QuickShot Supervision was a rebranded version of the Watara Supervision — the Hong Kong-manufactured handheld game console sold under the QuickShot brand in certain markets. QuickShot was a well-known brand for joysticks and gaming accessories in Europe throughout the 1980s, and its distribution of the Supervision brought the budget Game Boy alternative to European consumers through QuickShot’s existing retail channels. Like the Watara-branded version, the QuickShot Supervision used a 65C02-compatible processor, a 160×160 pixel LCD display, and offered a television link cable for home use. Its budget pricing made it an accessible alternative to Nintendo’s dominant Game Boy for price-sensitive consumers.
